COLUMBUS - On Wednesday, State Senator Kevin Bacon (R-Minerva Park) recognized President Peter Cimbolic on his retirement after leading the Ohio Dominican University for the last seven years.

"I am pleased to honor President Cimbolic for his leadership and the success he has had at Ohio Dominican University," said Senator Bacon. "The University will benefit greatly from his hard work and commitment to higher education for years to come."

Cimbolic became University president in 2010 and has since helped lead Ohio Dominican University to the top tier of U.S. News and World Report’s annual ranking of Midwest Regional Colleges and Universities. He is also responsible for the introduction of new market sensitive undergrad and grad programs such as Central Ohio’s first and largest Physician Assistant Studies master program.
