Bacon presents Blendon Township trustees with resolution recognizing bicentennial
COLUMBUS– State Senator Kevin Bacon (R-Minerva Park) today presented Blendon Township trustees with a resolution of the Ohio Senate to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the township's formation.

Blendon Township, Ohio encompasses Sunbury Woods, Huber Ridge, Fox Chase, Hunt Club, Glengary Heights, Cleveland Heights, Glengary Woods and other scenic communities. Located in northeastern Franklin County, the township spans 6.3 square miles of land and serves a population of 9,193.

"The bicentennial of Blendon Township marks a historic milestone in a long history of outstanding resident service," said Bacon. "Our township administrators play a central role in upholding a high quality of life for local residents through coordinating police and fire response, road maintenance, senior services, parks and recreation and other vital services."

Bacon served as a Blendon Township trustee from 2001 to 2006.
