COLUMBUS - On Tuesday, State Senator Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville) was named Legislator of The Year by The Ohio Propane Gas Association for his work to promote the growth and prosperity of the propane industry in the State of Ohio.

"I am truly honored and humbled to receive this distinction," said Senator Balderson. "The oil and gas industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in Ohio's economy so it is critical that we continue to make wise investments and work to protect our state's natural resources."

Senator Balderson serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and serves on the Senate Committee on Public Utilities. Both committees play an important role in setting policy initiatives for the oil and gas industry.

The Ohio Propane Gas Association is a trade organization providing services that communicate, educate and promote the propane industry within Ohio.
