Columbus -
State Senator Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City) announced today that October 2012 will be known as Ohio Manufacturing Month.

"Ohio Manufacturing continues to make a strong comeback, but a lot of folks don't appreciate the nature of what goes on in a manufacturing shop today," Beagle said. "Ohio Manufacturing Month is a great opportunity to show the community how advanced, technical, and precise the modern world of manufacturing has become, while showcasing the ever-expanding career opportunities that are available to job-seekers."

At Senator Beagle's request, Governor John Kasich made the October designation official by Executive Resolution signed in early October.

Numerous manufacturing facilities across the state opened their doors to the public for National Manufacturing Day last Friday, October 5th. In addition to this successful event, several other events are planned throughout October in the Dayton area to promote Ohio's important manufacturing industry. Those interested in finding more information on events planned in their area should visit
