Columbus -
The Ohio Controlling Board today announced the release of a $1 million 166 Direct Loan to Process Equipment Company of Tipp City (PEC). The funds will be used to purchase machinery and equipment as part of the company's efforts to meet additional customer demand. As a result, 62 new, full-time jobs will be created and an additional 130 jobs are expected to be retained as a result of the upcoming expansion project. "PEC's expansion effort is indicative of the way in which we hope to grow our workforce throughout the 5th Senate district," Beagle said. "The recovery of our state's economy is paramount to our future success, and I'm proud to see that PEC and other companies in the region are leading the charge." PEC is a manufacturer of custom welding equipment and a fabricator for the machine tooling needs of the alternative energy, automotive, defense, aerospace, power transmission, and commercial & industrial products manufacturing industries. The company has committed to contributing $2.5 million to the project for a total investment of $3.5 million. The project will allow PEC to maintain its high level of customer service and be better suited to grow and expand their customer base and market share.
