State Senator Bill Beagle (R–Tipp City) was proud to welcome Sam Wharton to the Senate floor today, and present him with a Senate Resolution for an outstanding cross country season, and his victory in the 2012 Nike National Championship.

Sam, a senior at Tippecanoe High School, has been named an All-Ohio athlete and an All-American for 2012. He was also named the Gatorade Boys Cross Country Runner, an award given to those with high academic, character and athletic standards. Sam maintains a 3.98, and is a member of the National Honor Society. Sam will be attending Stanford University next year.

Also today on the floor today was Senate Concurrent Resolution 2. The resolution will declare March 2013 in Ohio as “Reshoring Month.”
