Senator Beagle meets with Miami Valley veterans to discuss efforts to enhance support for military personnel in southwest Ohio.
COLUMBUS -
State Senator Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City) today joined a group of local veterans to discuss strategies for strengthening support for Ohio's veterans and military personnel.

“It is vital that we commit ourselves to supporting our veterans and troops,” said Beagle. “While they dedicate themselves to defending our liberty and freedom, we need to provide them with the support and resources to succeed beyond their service.”

The conversation primarily focused on job creation and workforce training, as well as discussions on healthcare and education.

“Efforts to strengthen workforce and economic development in southwest Ohio have gone a long way in providing our veterans with job opportunities when they return home,” said Beagle. “I am honored to represent one of the nation's largest veteran populations thanks to my district's unique proximity to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, which is the state's largest single-site employer."

Senator Beagle emphasized the importance of translating skills learned during military service into meaningful accreditations offered through the region's numerous institutions of higher education.

Both current and past military service members were invited to attend the event held at the Miami Valley Veterans Museum in Troy, Ohio.
