COLUMBUS—State Senator Kris Jordan (R-Ostrander) welcomed Miss Ohio Preteen 2017 to the Statehouse today to present her with a resolution on behalf of his Senate colleagues and to wish her luck as she progresses to the 2017 Miss American Preteen Pageant.

Michaela McHenry is the daughter of Michael and Monique McHenry, of Dublin, Ohio.

"Michaela, on behalf of the Ohio Senate, I'd like to congratulate you on all you've achieved so far, and wish you much success as you compete at Walt Disney World," said Jordan. 

A recipient of the Presidential Gold Volunteer Service Award, McHenry will compete in November at the 2017 Miss American Preteen Pageant at Walt Disney World.
