Senate President Keith Faber announced today the appointment of State Senator Frank LaRose (R-Copley Township) to serve as Chairman of the Senate Transportation, Commerce and Labor Committee

"Transportation is not only an area that impacts the daily lives of all Ohioans, but is also essential to our economic prosperity," said LaRose. "I'm proud to lead this effort to help ensure that the state’s transportation policies increase opportunities, maintain safety and promote job growth."

LaRose will oversee the committee responsible for crafting the state’s biannual transportation budget, including the improvement of Ohio's roads and highways and important public safety issues.

LaRose previously served as Chairman of the State and Local Government Committee. President Faber also appointed LaRose to serve on the Ways and Means Committee, guiding policies that affect state and local government revenues and tax collection.
