Reineke Honors State Champion Calvert Catholic High School Volleyball Team
June 17, 2021

COLUMBUS—State Senator Bill Reineke (R-Tiffin) this week honored the Calvert Catholic High School Volleyball Team at the Ohio Statehouse for winning the 2020 Division IV State Championship.

"This team has four guiding principles: be kind always, be happy for other athletes success, have fun, and work hard," Reineke said. "I am proud of this team's commitment to each other and their success both on and off the court."

This is the second time in three years that the Lady Senecas have brought home a state championship, finishing the 2020 season with a perfect 29-0 record. This team was also recognized by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association (OHSVCA) as an OHSVCA Scholar Team, with all 28 athletes achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
