"Recent graduates with an interest in state government or public policy should consider the LSC Fellowship to develop important career skills far beyond the average fellowship experience," said LaRose. “Fellows have the opportunity to take on diverse responsibilities while connecting directly with state policymakers and stakeholders, often leading to successful careers in public service. In the past five years I have had a number of impressive young professionals who have shown a willingness to learn and dedicate themselves to their responsibilities as LSC Fellows."

"This is a common sense measure that seeks to protect good samaritans who save the life of a child or rescue a pet," said LaRose. "Far too often we hear tragic stories about deaths which occur when children and pets are left alone in hot vehicles and as a father of three young children I am glad we are taking this important preventative step." said LaRose.
