Michael J. Skindell (D-Lakewood) was elected to serve Lakewood, Cleveland and Ohio's 23rd Senate District in November, 2010. He comes from the Ohio House of Representatives, where he served four terms as the Representative for Ohio's 13th House District. After graduating cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business and political science from Walsh College, Skindell earned his law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He represented the people of Lakewood as a Councilman at Large between 1998 and 2002.

COLUMBUS— State Rep. Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) and State Senator Michael Skindell (D-Lakewood) today applauded the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 159, which designates a portion of State Route 2 – also known as the West Shoreway, beginning in Lakewood and connecting to Cleveland – as the Richard F. Celeste Shoreway.

COLUMBUS – Today, all Democratic members of the Senate Civil Justice Committee expressed strong opposition to Senate Bill 296, which would add additional hurdles for Ohioans who attempt to keep polling locations open on Election Day. The bill has moved quickly through the Senate and will likely pass the Senate this afternoon.

 
 

05.10.16 - Senator Skindell Introduces Ohio Patient Protection Act

 

COLUMBUS - State Senator Michael Skindell (D- Lakewood) recently introduced Senate Bill 324 to increase patient safety by setting limits on the number of patients a registered nurse (RN) may care for at one time.
