Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization to remove the federal constitutional right to abortion and give the power to restrict or ban abortion to states. The ruling overturns a half-century of Supreme Court precedent established by Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) commended the Ohio Senate's passage of House Bill 687, the state Capital Budget that appropriates $25 million for economic development projects in Ohio's 11th Senate District, which comprises much of Lucas County.

Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) sent a letter to Governor Mike DeWine, urging him to reconsider his decision to sign House Bill 99 and instead veto the dangerous legislation to allow local school boards to permit adults to possess a firearm on school grounds with only a minimal amount of training. Senator Fedor also issued the following statement.

Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) announced that the Ohio Department of Aging is accepting nominations for outstanding older adults to be inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. Since 1976, the hall has honored current or long-time Ohio senior citizens who have made a lasting impact on their communities, professions, or vocations.

Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) issued a statement in response to the leaked U.S. Supreme Court opinion, indicating that the Court would overturn Roe v. Wade, remove the federal constitutional right to abortion and give the power to restrict or ban abortion to each state. The Court's decision will not be considered final until it is published in the coming months.

Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo), a member of the Unemployment Compensation Modernization and Improvement Council, urged Governor Mike DeWine to address compounding problems resulting from Ohio's antiquated unemployment system. This comes in response to a March 29 letter she sent to DeWine to call attention to these issues and urge him to improve Ohio's social safety net.
