January 15, 2021

COLUMBUS—Senate President Matt Huffman (R-Lima) today named State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House) as Chair of the Senate's Energy and Public Utilities Committee. The committee will review legislation affecting Ohio’s energy production as well as policies and initiatives pertaining to Ohio’s electric, phone and natural gas utilities.

Huffman also named Peterson to the Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee, Finance Committee, Rules & Reference Committee and Veterans & Public Safety Committee.

“I am honored to have been chosen to play a key role in these discussions that critically impact all Ohio families," said Peterson. "Committees are where much of our legislative work happens, and I am grateful to serve on those committees that will examine issues that are of direct concern to my constituents.”
