Landis Announces Statehouse School Bus Transportation Grant
COLUMBUS—State Senator Al Landis (R-Dover) announced the Ohio Statehouse School Bus Transportation Grant Program will be open September 23 through September 30. The grant helps schools cover the cost of bus transportation for field trips to the state capitol.
"One of my favorite parts about being a state senator is meeting students from the district and showing them our state's capitol," said Landis. "These grant dollars will allow more students to see how state government works up close and learn more about the history of the Buckeye State."
Grants will be awarded by the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) and the Capitol Square Foundation in partnership with Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc. Any Ohio school that receives state funding can apply. Grants are limited to 4th through 12th grade students during the 2024/2025 school year. A random lottery selection will be utilized to choose a number of schools from each category, which is determined by mileage from the Statehouse.
