COLUMBUS—State Senator Al Landis (R-Dover) urges eligible entities to apply for $2.7 million in water quality project grants from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. The deadline for applications is November 9.

"This grant program is vital to our local communities in order for them to preserve and protect our streams and rivers," said Landis. "These dollars can be applied in a variety of ways, such as field drainage water management and stream restoration. I urge organizations in my district to apply for this opportunity."

Local governments, park districts, soil and water conservation districts, and other public organizations can apply for these grant dollars. Funding for the grant program is available through the federal Clean Water Act.

The application is available on the Ohio EPA website
