Landis Recognizes Volleyball National Champions

COLUMBUS—State Senator Al Landis (R-Dover) honored the Kent State University at Tuscarawas women’s volleyball team in the Ohio Senate for winning their first-ever USCAA Division II National Championship.

“I am proud to have the Kent State Tuscarawas volleyball team recognized by the Ohio Senate,” said Landis. “This is a truly remarkable group of athletes who have brought an incredible accomplishment to Tuscarawas County, and I look forward to watching their continued success both on and off the court.”

Head coach, Cortney Goodwin and assistant coach, Steve Colpus for Kent State University at Tuscarawas were also named the Coaching Staff of the Year in USCAA Division II. Freshman, Mackenzie Neininger was named Championship MVP.

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is a regional campus of Kent State University and is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
