COLUMBUS—State Senator Al Landis (R-Dover) announced the Ohio Controlling Board approved the apportioning of $20.7 million from the All Ohio Future Fund towards the Muskingum County Development Site.

“This funding secures a significant amount of investment into Muskingum County and the surrounding Eastern Ohio region,” said Senator Landis. “The attraction of businesses to this part of the state and the opportunities that will be available from this are immense. I look forward to seeing the benefits this project will bring to Muskingum County and the rest of the 31st Senate District."

The lack of public utility infrastructure, such as water and sewer, has prohibited the Muskingum County site from attracting companies seeking a new development location. To support and address these issues, the funds approved for this project will provide help in developing the nearly 700-acre site in northwest Muskingum County. Development of this site will provide new job-creating and capital investment projects for the entire region.

The All Ohio Future Fund, which will help to fund the project, was established in the 2024-25 state operating budget, supported by Senator Landis. The fund represented a $750 million investment to support local communities with site-readiness and preparation to attract economic development projects. The funds are administered through the Ohio Department of Development.
