Senator Landis Issues Statement on Tragic Shooting in Rittman

State Senator Al Landis (R-Dover) issued the following statement regarding the tragic incident resulting in the death of four individuals in Rittman, OH on Sunday, July 5, including Rittman Police Sergeant Scott Ries:

"I am heartbroken about the senseless tragedy and loss that happened to the Rittman community on Sunday. My condolences go out to the families of the lives that were lost, as well as the Rittman Police Department. Sgt. Scott Ries gave his life in the line of duty, and we must honor the courage and sacrifice of those who answer the call to protect and serve our communities every day. My thoughts and prayers are with Wayne County, the City of Rittman, and the Rittman Police Department. If I or my office can be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out."
