COLUMBUS- State Senator George Lang (R-West Chester) this week welcomed Judge Candace Crouse of the First District Court of Appeals to the Ohio Statehouse for Judicial-Legislative Exchange day.
"It was an honor to have Judge Crouse shadow me and attend our afternoon voting session this week," Lang said. "This program is imperative for civil servants to better cooperate and understand each others work, leading to a more effective government for Ohioans."
The Judicial-Legislative Exchange Program, organized by the Ohio Judicial Conference, seeks to improve the working relationship between the judicial and legislative branches by allowing members of each to better appreciate the day-to-day work of the other. The Judicial Conference coordinates a Statehouse visit every spring and encourages judges to reciprocally invite their legislators to observe them at work in their courts at any point.
