Senator Lang Announces Funding for Miami University Library Project
COLUMBUS - State Senator George Lang (R-West Chester) today announced funding for Miami University's Gardner Harvey Library.
$168,256 was approved through the Ohio Controlling Board for a significant roof renovation at the library on the Middletown Campus located in Butler County.
"This is a critical project for the Middletown Campus community," said Senator Lang. "By providing for the stable infrastructure of our institutions of higher education, we ensure that Ohioans can educate themselves in an environment that enables them to become the workforce of tomorrow."
The project will remove the existing metal roof and replace it with a modernized pre-finished metal standing seam siding, coping and metal soft panel. Project funding consists of a combination of local and Basic Renovation budgeting, and was awarded to the lowest bidder, Kelley Brothers Roofing Incorporated.
State Funding for the project was released through the Ohio Controlling Board and will be used for construction costs.
