This week, state Senator Hearcel F. Craig (D-Columbus) applauded the passage of Senate Bill 52, bipartisan legislation that designates honorary road names across Ohio and creates several specialty license plates recognizing individuals, organizations, and causes that have made lasting contributions to the state.

“Ohio’s story is told through the people who have served, sacrificed, and strengthened our communities,” said Craig. “Whether through a highway designation or a specialty license plate, these tributes serve as lasting reminders of the individuals and causes that have helped shape our state and inspire future generations.”

Senate Bill 52 includes three provisions championed by Senator Craig, including the creation of a COSI specialty license plate, a LifeTown specialty license plate, and the designation of the Chief James Jackson Memorial Highway.

Senate Bill 52 passed unanimously out of both chambers of the Ohio legislature and now heads to the governor for his signature.
