Craig Receives AACO People's Champion Award

This week, state Senator Hearcel F. Craig (D-Columbus) received the 2026 Asian American Coalition of Ohio (AACO) People’s Champion Award.

I am deeply honored to receive this award, said Craig. The Asian American community has contributed enormously to our state and our nation. Ohio is strongest when every community has a seat at the table and the opportunity to thrive. I am grateful to the Asian American Coalition of Ohio for its leadership and the important work it does to empower Asian Americans.

The AACO is a nonprofit, grassroots organization with the mission to educate, engage, and empower Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in Ohio to participate in all aspects of American society.

The AACO People’s Champion Award honors a leader who champions all communities while safeguarding liberty, fairness, and opportunity for every Ohioan.
