Craig Receives Inaugural 100 Black Men of Central Ohio Hearcel F. Craig Service Award

Last week, state Senator Hearcel F. Craig (D-Columbus) received the inaugural Senator Hearcel F. Craig Service Award from the 100 Black Men of Central Ohio. 

“I am deeply honored and privileged to both receive this award and have it named in my honor,” said Craig. “Under the visionary leadership of President Brian Winston and the esteemed Board of Directors, the 100 Black Men of Central Ohio continues to strengthen its mission, expand its impact, and cultivate a new generation of leaders committed to serving their communities.”

The 100 Black Men of Central Ohio, Inc. is an organization committed to the intellectual development of youth and the economic empowerment of the African-American community based upon the following precepts: respect for family, spirituality, justice and integrity. They created this prestigious award to recognize Senator Craig’s exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to public service, and lasting contributions to Central Ohio, our state, and our nation.

This award will be presented annually as one of the organization's highest honors to an individual whose life reflects extraordinary service, visionary leadership, and a steadfast commitment to creating positive change within their community.
