Craig Statement on America-250 Ohio Report

Today, state Senator Hearcel F. Craig issued a statement celebrating the release of a new report by the Ohio Commission for the U.S. Semiquincentennial, a state commission established last year and charged to plan, encourage, develop, and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and the impact of Ohioans on the nation's past, present, and future. “I am honored to be a part of this commission and am excited by the ideas and plans laid out in this initial report,” said Craig, who is a member of the Commission. “Ohio’s participation in our nation’s 250th anniversary will bring together communities from across the state to celebrate our nation, the integral role Ohioans have played in its founding and the role they will play as Ohio continues to be a bellwether in American technology and innovation.” The Commission, also known as America 250-Ohio, consists of 25 voting members from across the state.
