Roegner Announces Bill Affirming Second Amendment Rights Becomes Law
COLUMBUS—On Monday, State Senator Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) joined Governor Mike DeWine and Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) at the Ohio Statehouse for the signing of House Bill 86, which clarifies that certain firearms are not "dangerous ordnance." A companion bill in the Senate, sponsored by Senator Roegner, was passed earlier this year.

"I am delighted that the Governor signed the bill clarifying our 2nd Amendment rights in Ohio – specifically that federally approved firearms over 26 inches in overall length are also approved here in Ohio," said Senator Roegner.

The bill was passed as an emergency which means it is effective immediately.
