Roegner Honors Local Students Named to the 2019 AAU National Taekwondo Team
COLUMBUS—On Wednesday, State Senator Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) honored students from the Asian Sun Martial Arts school of Hudson on being named to the 2019 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Taekwondo Team.

"This is a remarkable group of athletes, who have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad," said Roegner. "They have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in Taekwondo, and in doing so have made our community very proud."

Asian Sun Martial Arts, led by Master Ryan Andrachik, placed five students on the 2019 AAU National Taekwondo team, including Philip Ripepi, Anja Gardziola, Jordan Heppe, Noah Shanafelt, Brittany Davey and Isabel Collyer.
