Roegner Honors USA Today "Ohio Field Hockey Player of the Year"
COLUMBUS—State Senator Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) today recognized Hanna Killeen, of Hudson, on being named the 2021 USA Today “Ohio Field Hockey Player of the Year." Hanna’s naming as “Field Hockey Player of the Year” is one of many awards she has received in recognition of her outstanding athletic accomplishments while playing field hockey at Hudson. Hanna has previously been named “Northeast Ohio Player of the Year” in 2020, receiving “All-Ohio First Team” academic and athletic honors in both 2019 and 2020, and West/Midwest Region “Player to Watch.” Hanna’s accomplishments and leadership both on and off the field caught the attention of the Ohio State University, where she now plays field hockey. Hannah continues to excel at OSU, and in November was named “Student-Athlete of the Month” by the OSU Student Athlete Support Office. “Miss Killeen is model scholar athlete with a bright future ahead of her,” Roegner said. “It was an honor to welcome the Killeen family to the Senate and to recognize Hanna with Senate Resolution 201. I wish her the best of luck as she continues her studies, and look forward to following the Buckeyes’ next field hockey season.”
