COLUMBUS—State Senator Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) today applauded the Governor's signing of Senate Bill 3 and Senate Bill 6, entering Ohio into the Nurse and Interstate Medical Licensure compacts. "There is potentially no greater incentive for medical professionals to move to the Buckeye State than interstate compacts that expand the flexibility and value of their professional licenses," said Roegner. "With the governor's signature today, medical professionals can have confidence that there is opportunity in Ohio that they may not be able to find in other states." The passage of this new compact legislation follows closely in the footsteps of Senate Bill 5 and Senate Bill 7, which address license reciprocity for Physical and Occupational Therapists. Both of these bills have been signed by the Governor and became law on June 30th. For more information, please contact Senator Roegner's office at Roegner@OhioSenate.gov or (614) 466-4823.
