Koehler Accepts Appointment as Vice Chairman of Sunset Review Committee

COLUMBUS— Senate President Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) has appointed Senator Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) to be the Vice Chairman of the Sunset Review Committee.

“I want to thank President McColley for appointing me to this committee,” said Senator Koehler. "I look forward to serving as Vice Chair to make sure Ohio's government agencies are best serving the people of Ohio on the issues they were created for."

The Sunset Review Committee is tasked with holding hearings and receiving testimony from various state agencies to evaluate their usefulness, performance, and effectiveness. A final recommendation will be proposed in the form of legislation to be voted on by the full House and Senate. The chairmanship of the committee typically alternates each General Assembly between a member of the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate.
