COLUMBUS—The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities has honored State Senator Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) as its Legislator of the Year in 2021. The Award for Legislative Excellence ceremony was cancelled last year due to COVID. Romanchuk was recognized at this year's annual meeting for his support and work on behalf of Addiction and Mental Health Boards in Ohio.

"This is a great honor and I am grateful that our work has had a positive effect," said Romanchuk. "Our experience with COVID has shown how important it is make sure our fellow Ohioans have the support they need to make it through tough times."

The award recognizes "outstanding leaders for their work to support ADAMH (Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health) Boards, individuals in recovery, and the community behavioral health system."
