COLUMBUS—State Senator Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) announced the passage of House Concurrent Resolution 7 by the Ohio Senate this week. H.C.R. 7, introduced by Representatives Marilyn John (R-Richland County) and Darrell Kick (R-Loudonville), would urge Congress and the Department of Defense to maintain the C-130 fleet of the 179th Airlift Wing in Mansfield, Ohio.
"The 179th Airlift Wing and their fleet of C-130 aircraft has been a vital air mission for the city of Mansfield and all of Ohio for over 40 years," Romanchuk said. "I join my colleagues in the Senate in calling for Congress and the Department of Defense to allow these airmen to continue their mission."
