Kunze Announces Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission's Family Day Festival

COLUMBUS—State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Hilliard) today announced the Ohio Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission will host a Family Day Festival this Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Ohio Statehouse.
"I encourage all Ohio families to join us this weekend for this exciting celebration of Ohio's 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment," said Kunze. "It has been my distinct honor being co-chair of the Ohio Women's Suffrage Commission these last few years and help recognize and raise awareness of the brave suffragettes who paved the path for generations of women and women leaders to come."
The event will include live entertainment throughout the day, including a free concert by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra at 5:30 p.m., free Ohio Statehouse tours, food trucks and the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Activity booths will be hosted by Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, State Library of Ohio, Ohio Secretary of State, Ohio History Connection and Columbus Museum of Art, Girls Scouts, COSI, League of Women Voters, Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission, and more.
