COLUMBUS—State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Hilliard) today joined state and local leaders to celebrate the largest economic development project in Ohio history. Intel, a semiconductor company, plans to build a $20 billion manufacturing facility in Licking County, expected to create over 20,000 jobs. Passed as part of the budget, Senator Kunze and State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House) led on key legislation to make Ohio more competitive to attract new jobs and infrastructure, by granting tax credits to companies who bring megaprojects to the state. “I am grateful to have played a role in the collaborative effort to bring such a transformative development project to Ohio," said Kunze. "By sponsoring legislation offering tax credits to megaprojects, like Intel, we have paved the way for job creation and significant economic development right here in central Ohio. The future is bright for the Buckeye State!” To learn more about today's announcement, click here.
