COLUMBUS—State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Hilliard) yesterday, alongside Doug Kelly, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish formally recognized April 29, 2019 as Make-A-Wish-Day in Ohio.
"This special day of recognition marks the thirty-ninth anniversary of the first wish granted through Make-A-Wish," said Kunze. "Make-A-Wish-Day provides an excellent opportunity to honor the many doctors, donors and volunteers who make these wishes possible for critically ill children in Ohio and throughout the country, and reminds us to continue to enrich those children, their families and communities with strength and hope."
To date, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 315,000 wishes for children across America, averaging one wish every 34 minutes.
