Kunze Recognizes 2023 Division II State Wrestling Champion

COLUMBUS—State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Dublin) last week recognized Trentt Fulgham from Circleville High School, who won the 2023 Division II State Wrestling Championship in the 285-pound weight class.

"Trentt showed immense skill and determination in his efforts, turning his first-ever State Tournament appearance into a championship," Kunze said. "I am looking forward to seeing what else Trentt will accomplish in the future. I have no doubt he will continue to excel in his athletics."

In what has been dubbed the "Miracle on the Mat"; Fulgham was able to take the winning position with under ten seconds left. He then was able to clinch the title after a 2-1 tiebreaker in the final seconds of the championship match.
