COLUMBUS—Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) this week signed Senate Bill 163, sponsored by State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Hilliard) creating an Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) license plate.
"Countless Ohioans have been impacted by ALS. My hope is that this license plate will bring more awareness to this disease which impacts an estimated 16,000 Americans," said Kunze.
Funds generated by this license plate will be paid to the ALS Association of Ohio to help discover treatments, advocate and serve those who have been diagnosed with ALS.
Senate Bill 163, which passed the legislature with strong bipartisan support, will now be sent to the Governor for consideration.
