Senate Passes Highway Memorial Naming Bill
COLUMBUS—The Ohio Senate passed House Bill 81, which honors fallen military members, first responders, and elected officials. Included in this legislation is Senate Bill 282, sponsored by State Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Dublin).
Senate Bill 282 designates the northbound and southbound lanes of I-270, between Cemetery Road and Roberts Road, in Franklin County the "PFC Henry Rick Hausman Memorial Highway." Hausman served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received the Bronze and Silver Star for his courageous actions during a mission in 1969.
"PFC Hausman honorably and selflessly served our country," said Kunze. "It is important that we remember him and the countless others who made the ultimate sacrifice and I am incredibly grateful for their service."
