COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) announced the Ohio Controlling Board approved $78,750,000 from the All Ohio Future Fund towards infrastructure projects at Dayton International Airport.

"Enhancing the surrounding area of Dayton International attracts not only airlines but other private companies looking to use the airport to fit their business needs," said Senator Huffman. "The opportunities this project brings for economic growth to the entire region are substantial. I look forward to seeing the project's completion and the benefits it will bring to the 5th Senate District."

The funding will be used to assist Dayton International Airport in financing the construction of airport aprons, airport taxiway, and area roadwork. The infrastructure projects will service over 150 acres surrounding the airport in the cities of Dayton and Union as well as Butler Township.

The All Ohio Future Fund which will help to fund the project was established in the 2024-2025 state operating budget, supported by Senator Huffman. The fund represented a $750 million investment to support local communities with site-readiness and preparation to attract economic development projects. The funds are administered through the Ohio Department of Development.
