Columbus –State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) this week applauded the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) for approving an investment project at the Pella Corporation in Troy, Ohio which expects to create over 400 new full-time positions, generating $19.3 million in new annual payroll. The Pella Corporation designs, manufactures, and installs window and door products made from wood, vinyl, and fiberglass. The TCA approved a 1.553 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

“Today’s announcement shows that Ohio is heading in the right direction, and our policies are working to help create jobs and spur economic development," said Huffman. "I look forward to seeing Pella Corporation grow their operation in Miami County and employ more of the hard-working people in our district.”

During its monthly meeting, the TCA reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $99 million in new payroll and spur more than $304 million in investments across Ohio.
