Huffman Celebrates Grant Award Supporting Mothers and Infants

COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) is proud to announce that Elizabeth's New Life Center in Dayton is the recipient of a grant to support mothers and infant health.
"Supporting the health of mothers and infants means supporting the most vulnerable in our state," said Senator Huffman. "By aiding community-based organizations, Ohio is providing a stable foundation for families who need it the most. I look forward to seeing Elizabeth's New Life Center continue to offer beneficial care for new moms and our youngest Ohioans."
The funding is part of $20 million in grants to 21 nonprofit organizations distributed through the Ohio Parenting and Pregnancy Program. Senator Huffman and the General Assembly allocated the funds in the recently passed operating budget. Through a competitive application process, the Department of Children and Youth (DCY) selected 21 grantees to deliver prenatal education, parenting classes, case management, referrals, and material assistance tailored to the needs of their local communities.
