Sen. Steve Huffman Recognizes Ohio Task Force 1
COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) this week recognized the Ohio Task Force 1 (OH-TF1) Urban Search and Rescue Team for their brave service following the tragic building collapse in Surfside, Florida. OH-TF1, located in Vandalia, Ohio, is made up of members from statewide fire departments, local businesses and private citizens. The teams have responded to state and national disaster sites throughout the U.S., ranging from hurricane and tornado clean-up, to ground zero after 9/11 and most recently in the aftermath of the condo building collapse in Florida. "The Ohio Task Force 1 has played a critical role in providing relief and recovery to communities and cities all throughout our country," said Huffman. "Their selfless service and sacrifice has made the state of Ohio incredibly proud." To learn more about the mission and opportunities with OH-TF1, visit their website by clicking here.
