COLUMBUS - State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) today introduced legislation, recognizing June 24th each year as 'Life Day,' a celebration of the June 24, 2022 U.S. Supreme Court decision of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

"June 24, 2022 was a historic day in the United States, an overdue turning point in our nation's history," said Huffman. "Life Day will serve as a reminder for generations to come of our ongoing fight to protect human life, that we didn't quit fighting for their right to life, and the day that the highest court in the land reaffirmed our belief that every life is precious and deserving of dignity and respect."

Since 2011, the Ohio General Assembly has passed more significant legislation to defend unborn children and protect their right to life than at any time since the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark abortion ruling in 1973.
