COLUMBUS - State Senator Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) today issued the following statement regarding his vote to concur with House changes to Senate Bill 22, which provides accountability and oversight of public health orders issued during a statewide public health emergency:
"Both chambers of Ohio's legislature are in agreement that additional legislative oversight, and checks and balances are essential during a public health crisis—both now and during future emergencies. I strongly encourage Governor DeWine to respect the wishes of the legislature, and his constituents, and sign Senate Bill 22 as quickly as possible."
