Johnson Announces Funds for Road Sign Upgrades

COLUMBUS - State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) announced the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is awarding $45,346.35 to three townships in the 14th Senate District for signage improvements along roadways. 

"It's imperative we keep Ohio drivers safe, and accurate and well-placed signage is an important piece of that work," Johnson said. "I am glad these township will receive these funds for necessary upgrades so our roads remain safe and navigable." 

The funding was awarded through ODOT's Township Sign Grant Program, which provides dollars for signs, posts, and hardware for signs along township-maintained roads. Townships receiving dollars include:

  • Rush (Scioto): $39,960.08
  • Washington (Clermont): $4,469.02
  • Rarden (Scioto): $917.25
