Johnson Applauds American Trailer World Investment in Batavia Township
COLUMBUS-State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) today applauded the decision by American Trailer World (ATW) to invest $18 million in a new trailer manufacturing facility in Batavia Township. The facility will create 249 new jobs, generating $9.8 million in new annual payroll and will be the largest and most technologically advanced of its kind. This is in addition to ATW retaining $5.8 million in existing payroll from their location in the Village of Mount Orab.

COLUMBUS-State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) applauded the recent decision by Southern Ohio Communications Services, Inc. to invest $3.8 million to provide a 1 Gig optical fiber-to-the-home high-speed Internet service to over 1,300 residential and business customers covering 64 miles across southern Ohio.

Governor Signs Bill with Johnson Amendment Protecting Religious Freedoms
COLUMBUS-State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) announced today the signing of House Bill 272 into law by Governor Mike DeWine. House Bill 272 includes an amendment offered by Johnson prohibiting any public official from universally closing places of worship in the state of Ohio. The amendment was adopted as part of the bill without objection.

Johnson Announces Passage of Bill Increasing Flexibility for Foster Care Training
COLUMBUS-State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) announced the passage of House Bill 8 by the Senate yesterday, which creates greater flexibility for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) to establish foster caregiver training requirements. This would extend greater flexibility to Ohio's foster families by reducing statutory training mandates and permitting them to take up to 20% of preplacement hours online.

Senate Passes Bill Allocating Funding and Flexibility to School Districts
COLUMBUS-State Senator Terry Johnson (R-McDermott) announced today the Senate unanimously passed House Bill 164, which would require public schools to give students the same access to school facilities for the purpose of religious expression as they do to secular student groups. In addition, H.B. 164 would increase flexibility for Ohio schools in the wake of COVID-19 as they approach the 2020-21 school year.
