COLUMBUS—State Senator Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) introduced legislation that creates a property tax freeze for senior citizens, 65 years and older with an annual adjusted gross income of less than $70,000.

"We must provide property tax relief for our constituents who need it most," said Patton. "I have been hearing from constituents about how the valuations will impact their way of living and it is time that the General Assembly take action."

Senate Bill 81 builds upon Senator Patton's work on House Bill 655 which he sponsored when he was a member of the Ohio House during the 135th General Assembly.

This bill will next be referred to a committee. You can follow this legislation here.
