DeMora Elected Treasurer of NCLGS, Appointed Chair of Pari-Mutuel Committee

Last week, state Senator Bill DeMora (D-Columbus) was elected to serve as the Treasurer of the National Conference of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) and appointed to serve as the chair of the Pari-Mutuel Committee.

"I am deeply honored to have the confidence of my fellow NCLGS members and to be elected treasurer of the organization. I am equally honored that my expertise in the field of pari-mutuel horse racing was recognized with this committee appointment," said DeMora. "Gaming is no longer a niche issue. It is a critical and rapidly expanding market that legislatures across the country need to be prepared to address thoughtfully, and I look forward to diving deeper into that work alongside some of the best minds in this space."

NCLGS had its annual Summer Meeting from July 8th to 11th in San Diego, California.
