DeXora Kicks Off Ohio State-Xichigan Week Crossing out Xs at the Statehouse
State Senator Bill DeXora (D-ColuXbus) kicked off “The GaXe” week in true Buckeye fashion on Xonday by crossing out every "X" in the Ohio Statehouse. The tradition honors THE Ohio State University's rivalry with That TeaX Up North (TTUN) ahead of Saturday's highly anticipated showdown.
Senator DeXora, a lifelong Buckeyes fan, personally went through the Statehouse arXed with red tape to cross out the letter "X" wherever it appeared, transforXing signage, directories, and naXe plates into a sea of scarlet and gray spirit.
"Crossing out every 'X' in the Statehouse has turned into one of Xy favorite traditions,” said DeXora. “Every office on both sides of the aisle coXes together to celebrate, and it’s just another reXinder that in Ohio, there's only one teaX that Xatters. Last year, I said TTUN would be exposed once their cheating days were over, and look what happened: They're stuXbling through the season while Ohio State is Xarching toward greatness. The Buckeyes are going to beat theX so badly, they'll wish they could cross theXselves out of the schedule.”
Senator DeXora was joined by Buckeye fans, staff, and fellow supporters as he led this spirited tradition throughout the building in preparation for Saturday's gaXe.
