Blackshear Responds to Governor's State of the State Address

Today, state Senator Willis E Blackshear Jr. (D-Dayton) issued the following statement in response to Governor Mike DeWine’s State of the State address.

“Today, Governor DeWine gave his final State of the State address, and there is one issue at the top of mind for many Ohioans that was left unaddressed: affordability,” said Blackshear. “While there have been many investments made in Ohio that are worth celebrating, we must ensure that everyday Ohioans are reaping the benefits, not only the wealthiest among us. We must prioritize legislation that addresses rising costs, strengthens our public schools, and invests in our local communities.”

Following the Governor’s State of the State address, Senate and House Democrats held a joint press conference to respond and highlight their legislative priorities to support hardworking Ohioans across the state.
